The Miller-Parrott Baking Company was once located across from Gilbert Park. The manufacturer offered two distinctive product lines — crackers, cakes and cookies being one line, the second being bread.

Miller-Parrott hired many local employees and operated from the location at 1450 Wabash Ave. until 1957.

The property is now known as the Miller-Parrott Lofts.
