History Center Announces New Website, Logo

Terre Haute, Ind. - The Vigo County History Center is entering a new era, while still honoring the history of Vigo County.

On May 26, 2023 the History Center unveiled a refresh of the facility’s branding. With the direction of Vigo County Historical Society Board Member Dee Reed and Executive Director Marla Flowers, the History Center engaged two local firms for the website project. The logo and website design was created by the marketing firm, BoCo Collective. The overall project and content was led by Katie Shane of K. Shane Communications. Shane serves the History Center through a year-round communications and marketing contract.

“We were honored to work on the rebranding for Vigo County History Center and be a part of its continued growth and evolution,” says Courtney Cook, Creative Director + Co-Founder

BoCo Collective Marketing. “The brand design is modern, yet strong and bold. The building structure was integrated into the design as well as the brand colors from the mural design. The featured red brand color pays homage to the Coca-Cola brand and its history in Terre Haute while incorporating new pops of color.”

Photography was completed by Mic Orman of Mic’s Pics and video work by the team at Envisonary Media. Envisonary Media has also worked with the History Center to create the promo video for “A Night at the Museum” in October 2022. Orman also partners with the History Center on historical photo printing for both the History Center and Vigo County residents.

History Center guests are encouraged to check out the new website, including a unique look at the History Center’s third floor event center and a closer look at the facility’s extensive collection.

“It’s exciting to showcase more of the collection on the website, but we’re careful not to show all of the one-of-a-kind items and artifacts,” History Center Curator Suzy Quick says. “To get the full experience you have to come in and see it for yourself.”
